draughting 13 feet, loaded 9 feet, 2 decks, 1 poop owned and armed by Mrs Peree, widow, at Granville commanded  by Jean François  Peree  bound for Petit Nord .
which crew he paid by decree advance.

We undersigned heir of Mrs Perree widow of Les Fontenelles, Outfitter of the merchant ship of this port named Le Montaigu certifying to all that it appears said ship was taken by the British under the command of Francois Perree on December 11, 1755 and conducted to Gibraltar on the 13th of said month by the Frigate The Fortune comannded by Lord Maylesden. In truth of this we have signed the Present (this document) to serve and to value the existing need.
