Under the Orders of the Commander Vauquelin in June 1758 she enters Louisbourg to besiege by forcing the English blockade. She participated in the defense of the city and caused serious damage to Wolfe's men. She sets out again for France crossing the last blockade to bring the mail of the defenders of Louisbourg for the King.

Returning from Quebec on May 18, 1759, she is attacked by the HMS: Venus, Thames, and Cat 8 leagues south-east of the bay of Audierne (Brittany Finistere); she succumbs after 2-1/2 hours of combat not having any more but 2 guns in a position to shoot.
