Under the command of Sior Villepars to go to Quebec

 

Departed of La Rochelle  May 5, 1665

Arrived Quebec :     August 18, 1665

Returned  : 1September 19, 1665
Arrived  at La Rochelle  : November 6, 1665

 

Note:  Ship built at the shipyards of Brest with construction beginning in 1658, floated in 1660 and put into service in 1661.  The vessel owned by Sieur Fouquet in 1661 and by the King in 1663.  It was armed at Brouage for the country between February 26, 1664 and May 15, 1664.  From Brouage to Cayenne with the following ships: Le Breze, le St Sebastien et le Ste Anne and the smaller La Justice, La Paix and Le Jardin d'Hollande with 650 colonists aboard.  Then from July 3, 1666 to August 2, 1666, from La Rochelle to Lisbon with 8 other ships, they escorted Louise Francoise Elizabeth de Savoie, Duchesse de Nemours et d'Aumale who went to marry by proxy the King of Portugal.  The ship reached the American shores with le St Sebastien on February 9, 1667.  It was retired in 1670.
